As we might remember from science class, this term ‘PH’ means ‘potential of hydrogen’. We can also say that PH is a measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions in any substance. This pH scale was devised in the early 1900s by Danish chemist S.P.L Sorensen for measuring acidity and alkalinity. It ranges from 0 (most acidic) to 14 (most alkaline).

To get waterproof and protection from infections, our skin needs a certain amount of oil
But remember that too little oil can lead to dry skin and the premature development of wrinkles and too much oil can lead to oily skin and acne. The oil that produces from your skin is called sebum and it is produced by sebaceous glands, tiny ducts that lie next to the hair follicles.

How pH is measured

pH can be measured from one upwards, with one being highly acidic and 14 eight being highly alkaline, and a pH of 7 is neutral.
